Toyota is giving its new Land Cruiser a world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Incredibly, Toyota’s big 4x4 is about to enter its sixth decade of tough mud plugging. Although the cosmetic changes are more subtle, the new 2010 Land Cruiser is designed to be better to drive on and off road with more creature comforts, claims Toyota.
SAIC has announced its second university student design competition. To be in with a shout, SAIC wants students to design a dream sports car or GT car for the MG brand to be launched in 2025. The brief asks for a concept that must not only must reference MG's history – 2014 is the firm's 90th anniversary – but that also reflects China's post-90s generation.
Alfa Romeo 4C
We had a stab at guessing what the Alfa Romeo 4C would be like once we knew it was likely that Alfa were taking the 4C – a baby Alfa 8C – to Geneva. But we didn’t have much to go on. If we’d guessed that the Alfa 4C would be, in almost every sense that matters, a scaled-down 8C we wouldn’t have been far wrong.
